Description
Western Digital wanted to update an endcap display in Best Buy Canada stores. They needed a bold solution that would attract attention in a competitive space and serve as an educational tool for their WD_BLACK product line. Our Design and Engineering teams evaluated the existing display that had been at retail for several years. The client secured a power outlet, which opened up new possibilities for design details and experiential effects.
Power allowed us to add rotating colored lights that pop off of the black body to create contrast and engage shoppers. Each display includes a remote control that allows the retailer to adjust the light color. The body is outfitted with magnetic educational graphics that are easy to update for future promotions and product changes.
Our engineers created a tiered body with dummy units that secured to product glorifiers at an angle. The angled design made it easier for shoppers to view products given that displays were placed on the top shelf of the end cap unit.
We used premium materials, such as powder coated metal, to achieve the client’s desired aesthetic appeal and longevity. Each display was fully assembled and loaded with dummy product prior to shipping. We produced three graphic sets (English, French, bilingual) to account for language differences in the Canadian market.
