Objectives

Waitrose set out clear objectives to enhance their Summer Food Festival into an immersive celebration of global flavors, enriching their brand with culture, vibrancy, and excitement across all touchpoints. Their primary aims were to boost sales throughout the summer season, reinforce Waitrose's reputation for exceptional quality, and underscore the value for money with enticing seasonal promotions.

To achieve these goals, the displays were meticulously designed to be dynamic and engaging, offering customers an interactive journey through diverse culinary experiences. The challenge was to ensure that these displays could seamlessly integrate into the bustling store environment, withstand prolonged periods of use, remain easily accessible for shoppers, and allow for regular updates to keep the experience fresh.

Moreover, sustainability was a key consideration for Waitrose, prioritizing environmentally friendly materials without compromising on the premium aesthetics that define their brand. This commitment to sustainability not only aligns with Waitrose's values but also resonates with their environmentally conscious customer base.

In summary, Waitrose's objectives were multifaceted: to drive sales, enhance brand reputation, showcase value for money, provide an engaging shopping experience, and uphold their commitment to sustainability—all while maintaining a premium look and feel.

How were the objectives met?

The objectives were achieved through a final execution that infused the stores with joy, vibrancy, and a captivating interactive experience for customers. Transforming the ambiance into a lively street market, the displays not only met but exceeded all the specified objectives, earning admiration from customers, branch partners, and the broader team.

One of the key successes was the adaptability of the designs, seamlessly fitting into both large and smaller store layouts without compromising the overall impact. Installed with professionalism and precision, these displays disrupted the typical shopping experience, generating genuine interest and engagement among customers.

The tangible outcome of this effort was a remarkable 40% increase in sales across the targeted product ranges, demonstrating the effectiveness of the campaign in driving revenue. Moreover, the displays reinforced Waitrose's reputation for quality by integrating premium elements that harmonized with the distinctive product offerings.

A particularly innovative feature was the incorporation of an interchangeable bird's beak graphic under the canopy roof, effectively spotlighting summer deals and emphasizing the value-for-money proposition. This attention to detail further enhanced the customer experience while maximizing the promotional impact.

The displays successfully met Waitrose’s objectives by delivering a visually striking, interactive, and sales-driving display campaign that not only elevated the brand's reputation but also provided tangible value to their customers.
