* To create an alternative way to test shades beyond traditional application methods.
* Engage customers at the display to create an interactive destination.
* Offer a system and process that is unique.
* Ensure the solution highlights the multiple shades in seven color categories. It also must be easy to shop for and accessible.
* To enhance and elevate the Super Lustrous product across the store.
* Create higher uplift of Super Lustrous Lipsticks sales.
* Easy usability for Customers and sales staff.
* Simple updatable application from any location in the world.
How were the objectives met?
The Revlon Super Lustrous Spinner is easily visible across the store with its iconic seven lips acrylic platforms and bold colors. The seven lip platforms allow easy shade navigation from Reds to Nudes and are easily updatable for new shades, other lipstick products, and new campaigns.
The bold colors highlight the Super Lustrous Spinner, and the display spins. It was important that customers could use the “Virtual Mirror” app on one side but could spin the Super Lustrous lipstick to themselves. It is a playful interactive tool that enhances display functionality.
The Revlon Myer Super Lustrous Spinner is a simple drop-in installation across MYER Australia and Farmers New Zealand. It has an update able Ipad application with an integrated WIFI/Router system and content management software. As a result, the content can be changed anywhere in the world.
The Revlon Super Lustrous Spinner provided a 40% sales uplift, giving Revlon a high-tech engagement platform to convert. The "Virtual Mirror" app enables future insight into favoured shades to tailor product ranges to specific localities. Feedback from the store was the "Virtual Mirror" was easy to use and a much faster shopping process for customers selecting shades.
The Revlon Super Lustrous Spinner is one of the unique retail propositions. It was a combination of traditional retail display design with integrated AR technology that is a first in the Australian and New Zealand department store market for a sizeable cosmetic brand.
